taken advantage of

Friend or foe? Is there a difference?

i never met my sister in law until 5 years ago and i had a party for my husbands 40th b'day! n after that my husbands brother and his wife came and stayer every weekend. We gave them our bed and fed them without any tanks or them giving us any money. This was fine but the my brother in law got very ill and unfortuantely died 18 months ago. My sister in law kept coming over (even when he was in hospital!!!). Anyway things in my household changed and 2 weeks ago my husband had a heart attack and i was desperate for someone to look after my kids while i went to work and my sister in law said she was too tiered to come over and look after them for me.... ( they are not babies they are 9 & 8) but need an adult supervision. I have to gt my wages. i am so very angry at her at being so selfish. I have been with her during every step of her pain and she couln't help me on one occasion. WHAT DO I DO........ please help

Sorry to hear about your husband :(
I think you should try being open with your sister in-law. People are quick to forget when others have been good to them. Remind her how you helped her when she was going through a hard time and that you now need her help. Sometimes people are selfish without realising they're being selfish. Once you point this is out she will hopefully realise her error.

You had done her a favor. Did it for her to compensate? well, it is better and easier for you not to expect her. A baby sitter is a good option too.
